Firstly, sorry for my absence, in between the breakdowns from stress from the upcoming deadlines, I’ve been up and down the country celebrating an upcoming wedding at an engagement party and then I’ve been at a wedding.
To be honest I don’t know where the last few weeks have gone and I’ve been neglecting the blog, which I never wanted to do because to be honest it’s not been my main focus, so although I’ve of course worn clothes everyday, I’ve not been taking outfit photos like before or had the time to even think of a good alternative post. I do have a lot of things I’d like to write about but because I know a few people in real life read my blog, I feel still very reluctant to be completely honest on here, for now anyway.
So to try and get back into writing again I’ve decided to share with you a few photos of what I’ve been up to…
Went to an engagement party & danced the night away (until my feet hurt anyway)
If you’ve been reading my previous posts, you may recognise this whole outfit actually because I featured both the dress and the shoes in my current fashion wishlist. Although I love this dress, it was a pain in the arse and pretty bad quality if I’m honest. I ended up having to sew the sleeves up because they were inches too long and then hack off the remaining fabric just before we left to go to the party. It was also so low and loose on the top I had to safety pin and tape myself in which made me super on edge about moving wrong and falling out because this was not the place to be doing that! I love to dance the night away but I felt that I couldn’t be completely free in this dress, I’m more of a comfort over style girl. These shoes are so gorgous and such a bargain, and I only had to take them off an hour from the end which was very unexpected. Overall I had a great night celebrating, although my boobs almost feel out lol.
My train home was cancelled so I passed the time with Insta stories & hot chocolate
I’ve always been very lucky with trains when commuting with maybe a few delays here and there, but the other week, thinking I’d managed to miss rush hour, all the trains home were cancelled. So it felt a perfect time to get myself a Christmas hot chocolate from Costa and use up all my data on posting photos of myself on Instagram stories. (You can find me on insta here) Even though in total it took me a total of 4 hours to get home instead of 40 minutes, it did kind of give me a break from all the college work.
Headed back to the midlands for a wedding
Jumpsuit: New Look (Similar)
Bag: Forever 21 (Similar)
I basically have been living 2 lives for a while now, one down in London and another up in the Midlands with my boyfriend. So 2 weeks after being up for the engagement party I was back again to celebrate a wedding. After an outfit freak out due to my mum thinking it wasn’t acceptable to wear black at a wedding (I wore it anyway), and it being bloomn’ freezing, it was a lovely intimate day in this cute little barn in the Cotswolds.
Went out for dinner with the boyf (because of cancelled trains… again.)
You know earlier I said that I’ve always been lucky with trains, that’s 100% true anymore. All the trains until 8pm on my way home from the wedding were cancelled so Ben and I decided do I little bit of shopping in Birmingham to pass the time, with involved a bit of pretend shopping in John Lewis and Selfridges and using the ‘bounce’ photo wall and Snapchat filter in John Lewis. Saying that though, I did do some real shopping, a dress and sweatshirt from Misguided within Selfridges. For the 2nd time in 3 days we then went out for dinner to go and get our favourite chips from Cafe Rouge, which if you’ve never had cafe rouge chips, I’d 100% recommend, they’re lush. I eventually did get on a very packed train home.
Stressed about deadlines
The reason I’ve had no time to do anything really is, like I mentioned earlier, work! I’m trying to get back to blogging again now that I’m starting to get on top of my deadlines.
And that’s where I’ve been.
Until next time,
