You may be thinking, where I am? Because I finally have an outfit post featuring a completely new background!
I’ve had this shirt sitting in my wardrobe since July and now, with the weather finally getting colder it was time to start actually working out how I was going to wear an boxy, frilly and floral shirt and I think this is my favourite way I’ve found to style it so far this Autumn.
Shirt: M&S (No longer available)
Pinafore: ASOS (Only now available in tall)
Boots: ASOS (Similar)
Leather Jacket: Pull & Bear
Sunglasses: Ray Ban
This pinafore I got from ASOS before the summer because I’d been looking at them for a while but up until I found these as I felt they were quite expensive and made me look like an oversized toddler. (Not really the look I wanted when I already look young for my age.) This one is slightly different to others on the high street as it had huge statement buckles and large pocket detailing and with the dark denim, is more of a ‘grown-up’ take on the pinafore. I’ve worn it with various tops under and is a really great transitional piece for A/W due to the dark denim.
I’ve worn it with an off the shoulder black top in summer, but now it’s slightly colder I’ve been wearing it with with longer sleeved shirts such as this frilly, floral one from M&S that I picked up at the right at the start of the summer in the sale for something like £10. I don’t normally look in M&S but as there was a sale I thought I’d go in and there was actually so many lovely and fashionable pieces for small prices, maybe because trend driven shoppers don’t tend to think M&S so a lot ends up on sale.
My jacket is of course a firm favourite of mine, so is a very common feature of outfit posts, as well as my boots which I got last winter.
I think my boyfriend did quite a good job, considering it was his first time outfit photographing for me!
Until next time,
