This wasn’t actually the outfit I’d planned to wear to my first & only LFW show. The only part, in fact, I really had properly planned until the night before was the shoes, so really I built this outfit around a pair of mules I fell in love with. After the showcase we found a little side street in Soho (I have a feeling you’ll probably be seeing this grey wall again in future posts) to do a little outfit photoshoot with just my I-Phone for pictures and here it is…
Lace Cami: New Look
Culottes: Zara
Leather Jacket: Pull & Bear
Bag: Forever 21
Chocker: Miss Selfridge
Mules: New Look
Sunglasses: Ray Ban
I’ve had this pink top for a while now, originally buying it for my end of year fashion show in the summer, although the I’m not consciously a trend driven person, lace is due to still be in for a long time and although blush pink, should see me into autumn.
I feel 1 out of 5 people own these culottes from Zara, probably because it is Zara, but I’m so glad I picked them up. At first I doubted if I could pull of culottes especially because I’m only little in height and I worried the black meant they were a little school like, but I am not regretting them, they are comfy and look like you’ve made an effort, knowing what you are doing with fashion, even on an 7am commute into the city!
I found this real leather jacket from Pull & Bear in the ASOS sale for around £60, which although felt like a lot for me at the time, is a fraction of the price of the All Saints jackets which one day I will get my hands on. I would recommend instead of impulse buying in sales, look for key pieces that would be expensive otherwise that aren’t really trend driven, I tend to always get my coats, jackets and shoes in the sale because they are always the most expensive items I need.
Finally the accessories- I was eyeing up mules for a while now, not really sure if they were summer or winter shoes as well as how the hell you walk in them. Turns out they are actually super easy to walk in, especially with the chunky heel and platform, with these ones only costing just under £30. (FYI I have wide feet and these were not wide fit shoes, but after a few wears they began to stretch out.) The chocker is kind of one of the standard ones that are huge right now and I’m finding myself wearing it everyday to dress up outfits. The cross body bag under the jacket I feel is a LFW essential, as are the sunnies even when it’s not sunny.
Although I had my grey wall photoshoot, myself and Abi had to go have our photo next to the pink holographic LFW wall after seeing loads of people having their photo by the wall, we had to get one for Insta too.
As you are reading this I am probably working on another post all about my day and the Malone Souliers show that I attended that should be up within the next few days…
So until then,
Maisie x
